Choosing the right length

The two-day Son-Köl Express goes from Kuyruchuk to the lake and includes one yurt night. The three-day Son-Köl Classic travels through Ichki Jailoo, Song-Kul and Kyzart. The four-day expedition adds a night in Tuz-Ashuu and a pass crossing before the descent to Kyzart.

The rhythm of a route day

A route begins with meeting and preparation. Depending on the programme, days combine horseback sections through mountain valleys and alpine pastures, lunch stops and arrival at a yurt camp. Every tour page explains what is included by day and the approximate riding time.

Highland conditions can change, so practical details are confirmed before departure. This includes transfer timing, conditions, the group's pace and individual needs.

Yurts, meals and practical details

Overnights take place in traditional yurts. Meals are described on each route page: for example, the three-day route includes lunch and dinner on day one, all meals on day two, and breakfast with lunch on the final day.
