Getting to and from the trail
- Meet your guide in Kuyruchuk, then travel by vehicle to the horseback trailhead in the summer pastures. The ride begins after lunch.
- After breakfast on day 2, ride back to the summer pastures. A vehicle takes you from there to Kuyruchuk. Lunch on day 2 is not part of the published programme.
- Agree the exact meeting point and time, travel to Kuyruchuk, guiding language and group arrangements. Share your riding experience; if this is your first ride, discuss the four-hour first day before confirming.

- Day 1
Kuyruchuk — Song-Kul Lake
Meet your guide in Kuyruchuk Village, then transfer to the trailhead in the summer pastures. Enjoy a traditional Kyrgyz lunch, prepare the horses and ride for around four hours through mountain valleys and alpine meadows to Song-Kul Lake. Settle into a traditional yurt camp, enjoy a home-cooked dinner and relax beneath the star-filled sky. Included: transfer, horse rental, lunch, dinner and overnight stay.
- Day 2
Song-Kul Lake — Kuyruchuk
Wake to crisp mountain air and enjoy a traditional breakfast by Song-Kul. Then ride back to the summer pastures, where your vehicle waits to transfer you to Kuyruchuk Village. Included: breakfast, horseback riding and transfer.
